Dรญli, 14/09/2025: The team from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, led by His Excellency the Minister, Dr. Josรฉ Honรณrio, together with leaders and staff from MESCC, participated in the march as part of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the International Force for East Timor (INTERFET) Mission in Timor-Leste. The route started at the Port of Dรญli and ended at the Presidential Palace Aitarak Laran, Dรญli.

This activity is a tribute to the presence of INTERFET, which contributed to Timor-Leste’s self-determination process, following the announcement of the Popular Consultation results in September 1999. The event’s session covered various activities, such as the march, musical performances, and other events held at the Presidential Palace grounds.

Present at the event were His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Josรฉ Ramos Horta, His Excellency the Prime Minister, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmรฃo, General Peter Cosgrove and his entourage, the Chief of Staff of F-FDTL, Commander Falur Rate Laek, PNTL commissioners, government members, the diplomatic corps, state officials, and participants from other relevant institutions.
