Díli, 23/08/2024: The Acting Director General of Planning and Finance, Mr. Droaldo F. Morais, held a farewell ceremony for the graduates who will participate in a short-term training program on “Activities and Implementation of Gender Equality in Higher Education” at Warmadewa University, Indonesia.
This activity is part of the ongoing calendar for the proposal competition “Path to Equality,” a competition for planning and implementing activities to promote Gender Equality, which the Ministry launched in recent months. The objective is to institutionalize gender issues in Higher Education Institutions by identifying programs conducted by these institutions to promote gender equality. This also provides opportunities for those responsible to enhance their skills and contribute more effectively to the efficient and successful development of the programs they will implement.
During the ceremony, the proposals selected as winners of the “Path to Equality” Proposal Competition were also presented, with presentations made by representatives from two Higher Education Institutions: Universidade da Paz (Mr. Marito de Araujo) and Instituto Politécnico de Betano (Ms. Frangelina Xavier).
The ceremony concluded with the awarding of certificates of appreciation to the jury team, as well as the distribution of travel documents and other necessary paperwork to the graduates who will participate in the short-term training program.
The session was closed by the Inspector General of the Inspection and Audit Office, Mr. Domingos Barros, and was attended by the Director General of SEI, the President of IPB, the Vice-Rector of UNPAZ, and other leaders and technicians from MESCC and SEI.
