Jakarta, 20/07/2024: His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Culture (MESCC), Dr. José Honório, accompanied by the Education, Commerce, Security Attaché Office and also by the technical team of MESCC, held a meeting with three Higher Education Institutions in Jakarta, namely Universitas Multimedia Nusantara – Kompas Grandmedia Group, Universitas Mercu Buana and Universitas Atma Jaya, in Jakarta, Indonesia, in response to the invitation that these institutions addressed to the Ministry.
The objective of this meeting, in the session with Universitas Multimedia Nusantara – Kompas Grandmedia Group, was to discuss future cooperation in the area of human resource capacity building, especially in offering scholarships in areas such as tourism and short-term training for Ministry technicians in the areas of information technology and multimedia. With Universitas Mercu Buana, the discussion focused on offering scholarships for master’s and doctoral degrees to Timorese students to continue their studies at the aforementioned University. Finally, a visit was made to Atma Jaya University in Indonesia.
Additionally, other offers resulting from this discussion include the provision of scholarships in specialized areas, capacity building for government technicians, support for student exchanges, scientific publications, and research.
