Betano, 04/09/2024: The technical team of the Directorate-General for Planning and Finance (DGPF), led by the Director-General, Mr. HernΓ’ni Viterbo da Costa Soares, accompanied by the National Director of Procurement, Mr. Baptista Silva, and the engineers from MESCC, monitored and supervised the construction progress of the New IPB-Betano Building in the Municipality of Manufahi.

The activity aimed to observe the progress and identify some problems, such as issues relating to land ownership that are affecting the drainage construction process and alternative plumbing on the outside. And analyzed the risk of infiltration in the event of flooding around buildings.

This activity began with the presentation of the work to the Administrator of the Municipality of Manufahi, and monitoring was carried out by the builder and MESCC consultant teams present on the aforementioned land.

According to the plan for the project, the drainage system that will be used in this new building uses an alternative method using other existing drainage systems to deal with water infiltration during rainy periods. It also provides for the channeling of water to the outside if there is infiltration that exceeds the limits. With this method, it will be possible to anticipate the risk of flooding in the new building.

Currently, the construction of the landscape project has completed more than 64% of what was planned. Another inspection of the building and all its facilities will be carried out.
