by Langkawi, June 18, 2025 – The Minister of Higher Education, Dr. José Honório, participated in the ASEAN Higher Education Ministers’ Roundtable, during the events “Bridging ASEAN Higher Education” and “Forum on Talent Development and Future Technologies towards 2045”.
These meetings highlighted the importance of cooperation between ASEAN countries to ensure quality higher education, promote student exchanges and strengthen the use of science and technology in training new talents.
The first day’s activities ended with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Timor-Leste and the Government of Malaysia, with the aim of strengthening cooperation in the higher education sector, including academic exchanges, scholarships and joint research.
