Díli, 17/11/2024: In recent days, His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, Dr. José Honório, officially closed the SCI-TECH 2024 Exhibition during its second session, held at the Presidential Palace grounds in Aitarak Laran, Díli.
In his speech, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, Dr. José Honório, expressed his gratitude to the team and all entities who collaborated and worked together to ensure the success of this activity. The Minister emphasized: “Today, we enter the 21st Century, where the fields of Science and Technology stand as two critically important pillars in the modern world. If we aim to develop Science and Technology in the future, we must start by prioritizing these two key areas.”
His Excellency further reinforced: “Through this exhibition, it is important to show the public that Timor-Leste can also advance, especially in the areas of Science, Technology, and Innovation.”
The closing session concluded with various activities, including entertainment and a musical concert that marked the end of this second session. The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Presidential Palace, higher education institutions, students, teachers, staff, and representatives from relevant institutions.
