Díli, 09/12/2024: The technical team of the National Directorate of Higher Education continues to conduct merit-based entrance exams for F-FDTL candidates wishing to pursue their studies at Timor-Leste’s Public Higher Education Institutions for the 2025 academic year, under the special regime, F-FDTL sub-regime. This regime offers an extraordinary opportunity for the Timor-Leste Armed Forces to access places in Public Higher Education Institutions.
This activity is carried out in collaboration with the Falintil-Timor-Leste Defense Force (F-FDTL), as defined by Ministerial Diploma No. 54/2024, dated July 25, which regulates the implementation process for entrance activities to Public Higher Education (UNTL and IPB) for the 2025 academic year. This regime, as stipulated in the aforementioned diploma, is a special regime under the F-FDTL sub-regime, with places specifically allocated to candidates directly selected by the aforementioned Armed Forces Institution.
A total of 88 candidates participated in this exam, comprising officers and permanent staff of the F-FDTL. The exam activity was organized with candidates distributed across fields such as Science and Technology, Social and Human Sciences, and Technical-Vocational studies.
Previously, the Higher Education Admission Committee (CAES – Portuguese acronym) had also conducted exams under the special regime and other sub-regimes across all municipalities in the national territory. Under the general regime, final-year Secondary Education students are required to complete their application forms and await the announcement of final results for the 2024 National Secondary Education Exam.
