by Dili, Thursday, May 16, 2024: The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, through the Directorate-General of Higher Education and Science, led by Director-General, Mrs. Maria Filomena Lay Guterres, launched the distribution of the book “Lian Rama Hana”, about the original ethnic language and musical art of Atauro, in the Meeting Room of MESCC, Colmera, Dili.
The purpose of this activity was to distribute the book to higher education institutions and other relevant institutions to disseminate the content and information contained in the book, addressing the results of the research on the ethnology of the native language and original art of Atauro.
The book “Lian Rama Hana” was produced in cooperation between the National Research Agency of France and Timor-Leste, which conducted research on the island of Atauro with the aim of investigating the existing native languages ββin Atauro.
With the results of this research, it becomes a means of preserving the cultural heritage of Timor-Leste, especially the heritage of Atauro Island.
