Dili, 10/05/2024: The Coordinating Committee of Universities and Higher Education Institutions, led by the Director-General of Higher Education and Science, Mrs. Maria Filomena Lay Guterres, held a meeting with the team in the MESCC meeting room to discuss the technical procedures related to the public subsidy fund that will be allocated to Private Higher Education Institutions.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss technical issues and the measures that will be implemented in the process of executing the public subsidy fund, in order to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the process, especially with regard to administrative procedures, should there be any alterations or changes during the process.
Additionally, in recent days, CUIS has also held meetings with the Rectors of Private Higher Education Institutions to define the package that will be offered to each institution, according to the proposals submitted by each of them.
The budget for the public subsidy has already been approved by His Excellency the Prime Minister, who will allocate the funds to the Higher Education Institutions, with the aim of improving their quality, covering various areas according to the needs presented in their proposals.
