Dili, 08/05/2024: A technical team from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, composed of two Directors-General, the Chief of Staff of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, and technicians from the Ministry’s Partnership and Cooperation Unit, held a meeting with the team from Instituto CamΓ΅es and its representatives, along with H. E. the Ambassador of Portugal to Timor-Leste, to discuss the established areas of cooperation between the two institutions.
During this meeting session, the teams discussed the existing areas of collaboration between the two institutions, especially in human resource development, such as the scholarship programs offered by Instituto CamΓ΅es and other programs aimed at promoting the Portuguese language in Timor-Leste.
Therefore, Instituto CamΓ΅es, previously established in cooperation to offer annual scholarship programs for meritorious Timorese interested in continuing their studies in Portugal, and also in other areas that provide direct training to reinforce Portuguese language skills in Timor.
The meeting was led by the Director-General of Higher Education, Ms. Maria Filomena Lay Guterres, accompanied by the Director-General of Planning and Finance, Mr. HernΓ’ni Viterbo da Costa Soares, the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, Mr. JosΓ© Boavida SimΓ΅es, and the ministry’s technicians, along with H. E. the Ambassador of Portugal to Timor-Leste, Dr. Manuela Bairros, and the Vice-President of Instituto CamΓ΅es, Dr. Ricardo Victoria, and its technicians.
