by Jakarta, 20/07/2024: His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Culture, Dr. José Honório, accompanied by a technical team composed of the Education Attaché Office, the Commercial Attaché, and the Security Attaché of Timor-Leste, as well as technicians from MESSK itself, made a visit to the ITEA-ICCCM training facility at Borobudur University, Jakarta, Indonesia.
The purpose of this visit was to observe the training facilities of ITEA, with the aim of, in the future, the Ministry sending human resources to participate in short-term capacity building training in the specialized areas offered by ITEA-ICCCM, according to the needs already identified by the Ministry.
Additionally, during the visit, the team held a meeting with the Structure of Borobudur University, Indonesia, to discuss future cooperation between the Ministry and the referred higher education institution, especially in areas such as human resource capacity building and the provision of scholarships for Timorese students, whose technical administrative recruitment process will be conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Culture itself.
