Dili, February 23, 2026 – His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Culture (MHESC), Dr. José Honório, participated in the first meeting of the Asean Chairship National Organization Council (ACNOC), chaired by His Excellency the Prime Minister, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Finance building in Ai-Tarak Laran, Dili.
The meeting is part of Timor-Leste’s institutional preparations to ensure an effective contribution in the context of the ASEAN Chairmanship.
During the meeting, Council members discussed political, economic, and social priorities as part of the national agenda aimed at strengthening coordination among relevant ministries and institutions, ensuring that Timor-Leste can effectively fulfill its role at the regional level.
