Dili, July 5, 2024: Mr. AntΓ³nio de Jesus, a technician at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture (MESCC) and Head of the Department of Partnerships and Cooperation, met with the organizing committee to conduct a technical session in the MESSK room. The purpose of this session was to present the “Path to Equality” Proposal Competition, which is exclusively offered to Higher Education Institutions in Timor-Leste with the aim of promoting Gender Equality within these institutions.
The technical session was divided into two parts. In the first part, the technical team presented the session to the competitionβs jury, composed of representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture and the Office of the Secretary of State for Equality. In the second part, the committee continued the session with representatives from the Higher Education Institutions. The goal of this session was to explain the rules and procedures for eligibility in the competition, including the objectives and process of the competition.
Thus, the “Path to Equality” Proposal Competition, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary of State for Equality, aims to open a contest for Higher Education Institutions to submit proposals for the implementation of activities that promote Gender Equality within the university environment.
The technical session was held in two parts: the first part included representatives from the Office of the Secretary of State for Equality, representatives from the Department of Training of MESCC, and technicians from the URP, UPC, and DGPF. The second part featured participation from representatives of Higher Education Institutions such as UNITAL, IOB, UNPAZ, IFFS, IPB, UCT, ISJB, ICS, DIT, and IBTL.
