by Lospalos, 24/04/2024: The technical team of the Coordination for the Implementation of the Polytechnic Institute of Lospalos, led by the Coordinator of the Committee, Mr. Afonso Alves, accompanied by the Coordinator of the Public Relations Unit, Mr. Mafaldo Victor Lopes, and his team, held a meeting with the Municipal Administrator of LautΓ©m to coordinate the implementation of the Polytechnic Institute of Lospalos, which will commence next year.
The purpose of this meeting is to technically coordinate the processes for the soon-to-be-opening, by the government, through the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, of a new Higher Education Institution in Lospalos.
This new polytechnic institute is one of the priorities of the IX Government, as per the National Strategic Plan, aiming to establish an institution focusing on the field of Hospitality and Tourism, aiming to reinforce investments in improving the quality of higher education in Timor-Leste, preparing qualified human resources for future work in the country.
In this meeting, the coordinating team identified and assessed locations for the installation of administrative operability and infrastructure, also including a presentation on the process of preparation for the construction of the institution’s building, in order to plan the budget of MESCC for the next period, so that the implementation can occur as planned.
