The workshop took place in the MESCC meeting room over the course of one day.
This one-day session aimed to provide quick training to national experts in the health and education sectors on how to review technical documents produced by the ministry, especially in areas such as Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and also in education areas like Physics and others. The workshop session also benefited from the guidance provided by Prof. Dr. Hazman Shah Abdullah from Malaysia, an experienced professor in the higher education sector, particularly in curriculum and qualification systems, who further contributed to enhancing the experts’ skills in reviewing the mentioned documents.

In the morning session, training was provided to the reviewing experts, and in the afternoon session, it was offered directly to the technical staff and officials from the National Directorate of Higher Education Curriculum. The focus was primarily on the process of implementing the national standard curriculum, which is currently being reviewed by the experts according to the requirements defined for each course and level of study, aligning it with the national qualification standard.
The session was officially opened by the General Director of Higher Education and Science, Mrs. Maria Filomena Lay Guterres, accompanied by the CUIS Coordinator, Dr. Edmundo Viegas, special guest Prof. Dr. Hazman Shah Abdullah, and attended by experts and technical staff from the ministry itself.
