Phnom Penh, April 9, 2024 – The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Culture, H.E. Dr. José Honório da Costa Jerónimo, represented the Government of Timor-Leste in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia, represented by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, Dr. Han Chuon Naron, which took place at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Kingdom of Cambodia, in Phnom Penh.
This agreement was signed with the aim of strengthening and expanding cooperation between the two countries in the higher education and technology sectors.
In his speech, H.E. Dr. José Honório stated that the signing of this agreement is important as it benefits Timor-Leste in the training of high-quality human resources in strategic and priority technical areas.
Participating in this signing ceremony were the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, the Ambassador of Timor-Leste to the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Director-General of Higher Education and Science of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Culture of Timor-Leste, the Deputy Director-General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia, the Vice-President of the University of Cambodia, and their team.
