DILI, July 23, 2024: His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, Dr. José Honório, participated in the launch of the master’s degree course that was officially inaugurated by His Excellency, the Prime Minister (PM), Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, accompanied by the Magnificent Rector of UNTL, Prof. Dr. João Martins, in the UNTL hall in Caicoli, on Tuesday (23/07/2024).
The Prime Minister considers the science of public policies very important because it is necessary to promote discussions and critical analysis to shape high-quality Timorese leaders for the future.
In the launch session, His Excellency, the Prime Minister, stated, “The mission of UNTL is to create and form the future leaders of Timor-Leste. This course is very important. Every effort must be made to form a new generation because our country really needs intelligent people to develop the nation, upholding the spirit of our heroes.”
Furthermore, the Head of Government also expressed admiration and great satisfaction upon receiving information from the rector that UNTL has already produced more than 25,000 Timorese in various fields who are already working in state institutions.
