Díli, 20/09/2024: The team from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Culture, consisting of the Directorate-General for Higher Education and Science and the Partnerships and Cooperation Unit, met with the delegation from the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia (BRIN – Indonesian acronym), at the MESCC meeting room in Colmera, Díli.
The meeting aimed to gather information regarding the Government of Timor-Leste’s policy, through the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Culture, in the area of Science and Technology, particularly in the development of research and innovation within public and private Higher Education Institutions in Timor-Leste.
Additionally, the main objective was to discuss the offers that BRIN can provide to the Government of Timor-Leste, through the Ministry, such as support to Timor-Leste’s Higher Education Institutions in the aforementioned areas.
Attending the meeting were the National Director of Higher Education Curriculum, Mr. Alcino Barreto, the UPC Coordinator, Mr. Paulo Mariano, along with MESCC technicians, and the BRIN delegation composed of the Director of the Directorate of Talent Management, National Research and Innovation Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BRIN), Dr. Raden Arthur Ario Lelono, the Vice President of Science and Technology – BRIN, Mr. Edy Giri Rachman Putra, and their team.
