Díli, 05/09/2024: His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, Dr. José Honório, accompanied by the Director-General of Planning and Finance, Mr. Hernâni Viterbo da Costa Soares, participated in the CAFI meeting at the Ministry of Finance building in Aitarak Laran, Díli.
This extraordinary meeting aimed to bring together the various ministerial departments to assess the ongoing projects for the current year. The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture itself has a project for the landscaping of the new IPB building in Betanu and therefore requested approval for a Variation Order (VO) from the amount of 3.9 to 3.8 million, to adjust according to the needs outlined in the project.
Thus, once approved by CAFI, the deliberation results will be awaited to inform His Excellency the Minister, so that the process can continue with the National Procurement Commission (CNA), to prepare a new contract agreement with contractors to address the adjustment needs already defined.
Participating in the meeting were His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, Dr. José Honório, the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Santina Cardoso, the Minister of Planning and Strategic Investment (MPIE), Mr. Gastão Francisco Sousa, the Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, Mr. Miguel Manetelu, as well as technical teams from ADN and CAFI.
