Dili, 23/07/2024: The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture held the investiture ceremony for the new leaders of the Ministry at Sala Delta Nova in Dili. The event was attended by a total of 32 individuals, comprising 10 women and 22 men, who assumed positions such as Director-General, Inspector-General of the Inspection and Audit Office, Unit Coordinator, and Directors and Heads of Departments.
The investiture ceremony was conducted based on the decision of the Public Function Commission No. 6296/2024/CFP, signed by the President of the Public Function Commission, Mr. Agostinho Letêncio de Deus, on June 28, 2024, concerning recruitment, appointment, and promotion in the public sector, specifically for the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, totaling 32 leadership positions.
During the session, the President of the Public Function Commission, Mr. Agostinho Letêncio de Deus, stated in his speech that “the positions that the leaders are assuming must be carried out with commitment, responsibility, and loyalty, based on the Acceptance Terms they have received.”
Furthermore, the Honorable Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, Dr. José Honório, also stated in his speech that he expects the appointed leaders to demonstrate “loyalty and to present an image of employees ready to serve the State and the IX Constitutional Government.”
During the session, the Honorable Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, Dr. José Honório, together with the President of the Public Function Commission, Mr. Agostinho Letêncio de Deus, the Executive Director of ANAAA, Mr. Nilton Paiva, the leaders and technicians of MESCC, as well as representatives of families and relevant institutions present, participated in the official ceremony.
