The team from the National Directorate of Science and Technology (DNCT) continues to collect data from Higher Education Institutions to update the Higher Education Database System of Timor-Leste (SGDES-TL) for the Higher Education Institutions in the Municipalities of Manufahi and Baucau.

This activity, which began on Monday, May 13, 2024, aims to simplify and optimize administrative and academic management, including the centralization of data for all Higher Education Institutions across the national territory of Timor-Leste, to ensure the credibility, efficiency, and effectiveness of this data.

The activity in this session consisted of an introduction to the implementation of the said system, according to the competencies of the directorate, and also a presentation on the operation of the system and its navigation, functioning, including the review of existing data in this system.

This data collection was carried out at Higher Education Institutions such as IBTL and IPB in the Municipality of Manufahi and in the Municipality of Baucau, and also at ICFP Baucau. According to the existing plan, this activity will be conducted over a week in these two municipalities.

Previously, the team had already conducted data collection from Higher Education Institutions in Díli, and after this phase, the team will carry out the same in other municipalities.
