Díli, 03/09/2024: His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, Dr. José Honório, held a meeting with Her Excellency, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Mrs. Wang Wenlin, and her team, including the esteemed Rector of the National University of Timor Lorosa’e (UNTL), in the meeting room of the MESCC in Colmera, Díli.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, particularly regarding the support that the Chinese government, through its Embassy, will provide to higher education. This includes the donation of a library by the Chinese government, through its Embassy, to the National University of Timor-Lorosa’e (UNTL).
With the presence of the future library, which will be donated by the Chinese government, it is expected that there will be increased support for the progress of UNTL, especially in assisting students’ needs to enhance their learning experience.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, Dr. José Honório, Her Excellency, the Ambassador of China, Mrs. Wang Wenlin, and her team, the esteemed Rector of UNTL, Dr. João Soares Martins, accompanied by the Chief of Staff of MESCC, Mr. José Boavida, and MESCC staff members.
